- Onion – 1 medium, finely chopped
- Sakthi Masala Puliyodharai Podi – 5 tbsp

- Add the Sakthi Masala Puliyodharai Podi.
- Fry over medium-low heat for about 1–2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add the cooled rice and gently mix until the puliyodharai mixture evenly coats the rice.
- Remove from the heat and allow the rice to rest for about 45–60 minutes before serving so the flavors can absorb well.
Tips
Cool the Rice: Allow the cooked rice to cool before mixing so the grains stay separate and do not become mushy.
Rest Before Serving: Puliyodharai tastes better after resting for a while because the rice has time to absorb the seasoning.
More Tangy Flavor: If you prefer a stronger tamarind flavor, add a little more Puliyodharai Podi according to your taste.
Mix Gently: Fold the rice into the seasoning carefully so the grains do not break.
Serving Suggestion
Serve Instant Tamarind Rice with vadam, appalam, or papad.
