When I was working, my friend cooked this one day. Those days I never have cooked shrimp at home and even eat out. But I liked this at the first attempt itself, fell in Love with this. I love to have them with white rice.

| Ingredients : | |
|---|---|
| Prawn/ Shrimp | 1 pckt ( Medium or Tiny ) |
| Big Onion | 2 nos |
| Ginger Garlic Paste | 1 tsp |
| Curry Leaves | 1 strand |
| Tomatoes | 3 nos |
| Cumin Powder | 1 tsp |
| Coriander Powder | 2 tsp |
| Red Chili Powder | 2 tsp |
| Garam Masala | 1 tsp |
| Turmeric Powder | 1/2 tsp |
| Green Chili | 4 nos |
Directions:
-
Step 1
Clean the Shrimp, cut the head, tails and devein. Chop the onion and tomato. Split open green chilies. Chop Coriander Leaves. .
-
Step 2
In a pan, heat oil. When hot, add Onion saute well till it becomes golden brown. Add Ginger Garlic paste, Curry Leaves and fry till the raw smell leaves. Add the tomatoes, Green Chili and cook till oil separates. i.e. till all the water is evaporated. Add Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder, Red Chili Powder, Garam Masala, Turmeric Powder, salt and fry for 2 minutes.
-
Step 3
Add the shrimp and allow it to cook till all the water is evaporated, approximately 10 min. Add Coriander Leaves.
- Don’t overcook shrimp as it would turn rubbery.
- Variations can be made by adding some Spinach to it like Fenugreek Leave.
(*) This goes good with White Rice,Chapathi. Recipe from one of my Friends.
