This is my mom’s specialty recipe. When this is cooked at my home, I don’t even leave any trace in my plate. Ghee along with bitter gourd mixed with white rice really tastes good.

Ingredients
  • Bitter Gourd - 3 nos
  • Oil - 3tsp
  • Sambar Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - as required
  • Ghee - 1 tsp
Instructions
PREP:
  1. Cut the bitter gourd into small pieces.
COOKING:
  1. In a pan add oil,bitter gourd and salt. Cook this for about 20 min in a medium flame.Stir often and do not fry them crispy. Add Sambar powder, ghee and fry for 5 min in a slow flame.
TIPS:
  1. Adding Ghee reduces the bitter taste and this tastes really good.
  2. Cook them soft it really blends with white rice.
