Tomato Kurma / Thakkali Kurma

Ingredients :
Oil 2 tsp
Curry Leaves 1 strand
Green Chili 3 nos
Cloves 2 nos
Cinnamon 2 nos
Onion 2 ( Medium )
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tsp
Tomatoes 3 nos ( Medium )
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Coriander Powder/ Dhania Powder 2 tsp
Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves 2 tbsp
To Grind :
Coconut 3 tbsp
Fennel Seeds 1/4 tsp
Directions:
  1. Step 1

    Grind the items given in “To Grind” Section into a fine paste. Chop the onions, tomato.

  2. Step 2

    In a Non

    Stick Pan pour Oil, add Green Chili, curry leaves, Cloves, Cinnamon Stick and fry. Add chopped onion and fry till translucent. Add Ginger Garlic Paste and fry till raw smell leaves. Add finely chopped tomatoes and fry till they are mushy.
  3. Step 3

    Add Coriander Powder, Turmeric, Red Chili Powder and Salt and fry for 2 min. Add ground Coconut paste and water 1/2 cup. Allow it to boil for 5 min. Garnish with Coriander Leaves.

(*) This goes good with Idili and Dosa.
