Hi,

Few days back, my husband referred your site to me cos he is really inspired by your wonderful pictures. I have started looking your site from then..Keep going.
I go with Sonia's Tips. Poori dough needs to be prepared just before making Pooris. And also, try rolling 2-3 pooris and deep fry before starting the next batch. You would definetly get Pooris really more fluffier..

Yeah I have also experience the same with US onions Bali. But found none so far which matches Indian taste.
I use golden yellow potato which looks much similar to Indian and yellow onions not the sweet yellow ones, I tried with red onions but it tasted sweet too.

Hi Sashi,
I tried this. The masala came out little sweet. I live in the US. I used small red potatoes and yellow onions. Can you tell me what kind of potatoes & onions you use?

Thanks

Hi Zohra, sorry abt that. Normally Poori flour needs to be little harder and try to follow the tips given to get perfect one. Try pushing it inside the oil as soon as u put it, it will start bulging and turn to the other side. Try to take it quickly from the oil.
For masala add the diluted gram flour. This is to make the masala thick but it's optional, skip that and try with the rest of the ingredients. Poori needs more attempts to get it perfect. All the best.
