Philly Chicken Sandwich

Philly Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients :
To prepare Chicken stuffing :
Olive Oil 2 tbsp (preferably extra virgin)
Butter 1 tbsp
Ground Black Pepper 1 1/2 tbsp ( Fresh ground for nice aroma )
Chicken Breast 1 lb
Green Bell Peppers 2 nos
Worcestershire sauce 12 tbsp (or to taste, Must to get taste )
Onion 1 ( 1/2 diced, 1/2 Sliced )
Mushrooms 2 cups
Garlic Cloves 2 nos ( Finely minced )
Crushed Red Pepper to taste ( or use Indian Red Chili powder 1 tsp )
Salt to taste
Cayenne Pepper powder 2 tsp ( If u r using Indian red chili powder, skip this )
To prepare Sandwich :
Cheese 8 slices (preferably Swiss, Optional )
Lettuce Chopped ( Optional )
Sandwich buns 4 (anything of ur taste, i used Fresh Bakery Onion Mustard Sandwich bread )
Directions:
  1. Step 1

    Chop the chicken into small pieces. Slic onions – 1/2 and mushrooms. Chop onions – 1/2. Finely mince the garlic cloves. Finely slice  bell pepper.

  2. Step 2

    In a pan, add olive oil, butter. Add the ground black pepper, Chicken, Bell pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Reduce the flame, stir occasionally. Add the mushrooms and onions. Fry for 3 min. Add the garlic, red pepper, and salt. Fry till the water is evaporated from the pan and chicken is cooked. Stir sparingly

  3. Step 3

    We want it to caramelize , So stir occasionally till it turns to dark brown. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for 5 min. Toast the bread in a pan with butter till golden brown on each sides. Add 2 cheese slices to the bread as bottom layer . Add the cooked chicken as a layer in the preferred quantity and add little chopped lettuce above chicken. Add the cheese as top layer.
