Raw Mango Rice / Mangai Sadam
Mango rice preparations is much similar to the lemon rice but will be with mango’s sour taste added coz of raw mango prepared in tamilnadu style. My friend advised me not to make any dishes with onions on Varalakshimi Nonbu and I decided to make this. So this rice don’t have onions, but if needed they can be added.

Peanuts/ Cashew nuts 15 nos
Hing / Asefoetide 1 pinch
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Green Chilies 5
Curry Leaves 1 strand
Salt as required
Coriander Leaves 2 tbsp
Directions:
  1. Step 1

Cook rice and allow it cool down by spreading it on a plate, so that the rice grains would be separated. Peal the green mango skin using a Knife. No need to cut into slices, can directly grate them using vegetable grater and keep aside. Fry Peanuts in a pan for about 3 min and allow it to cool down. Peal off the skin by massaging between the hands. Split open green chilies.

“When preparing paneer at home, do not throw the drained water. When you are preparing wheat flour for chapathi, use it. It would help the chapathi to be softer.”
