Egg Thokku / Muttai Thokku

Egg Thokku / Muttai Thokku
Egg is rich in protein. Doctor suggests to eat a egg per day. If any one is dieting, a boiled egg an be taken for breakfast. since egg is rich in protein it takes lot of time to digest and makes us not to starve till lunch. A simple egg thokku prepared in tomato.

Ingredients :
Egg 4
Fennel Seeds 1/2 tsp
Big Onion 1 ( Medium )
Garlic 6 no
Tomato 3
Curry Leaves 1 Strand
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Red Chili Powder 3/4 tsp
Coriander Powder 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves 2 stks
Directions:
  1. Step 1

    Boil egg in hot water for 30 min in Medium Flame. Allow it to cool down. Slit the Egg into two piece and keep it ready. Chop Onion, tomato and Garlic and keep it ready.

  2. Step 2

    In a pan add Oil, Fennel Seed, add Curry Leaves and Fry for 10 sec. Add the chopped Onion and fry till translucent. Add Garlic and fry for 1 min. Add chopped tomatoes and fry till mushy. Add Red Chili Powder, Coriander Powder, Turmeric, Salt. Fry for a min. Add egg at the end and leave for 3 min. Add coriander leaves and switch off.

Tips :
  • If you want it to be little watery, you can add little ground coconut.

(*)  This goes good with white Rice, Chapathi.

    hi, the receipe looks too good.and came out well.my only suggestion is that it will be more tasty i we season the garam masala items in the oil before putting onion. try this.bye.
